Who We Are

A Committee Rooted in Heritage, Open to All

The ATAA Arts Committee is a volunteer-led committee of the Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA), using the arts to build connections between Turkish American communities and the broader American public.

Through exhibitions, performances, film, educational programs, and creative initiatives, the Committee brings Turkish and Turkic artistic voices into dialogue with audiences across the United States — celebrating cultural heritage while creating space for contemporary expression, collaboration, and exchange.

Our Mission

We promote and support Turkish art and the artists who shape it, bringing their work to new audiences across the United States. By connecting heritage with contemporary practice and raising the support that makes exhibitions, screenings, performances and new work possible, we help Turkish art take its place in American cultural life.

Our Vision

A United States where Turkish and Turkic art is not a niche interest, but a visible part of the cultural landscape — present in museums, concert halls, classrooms, cinemas, and the wider American arts conversation.
